AFI took an active part in the 31st international agro-industrial exhibition "AGRORUS-2022"

From August 26 to September 4, 2022, the 31st International Agroindustrial Exhibition "Agrorus" was held in St. Petersburg at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center, the largest specialized event of the Northwestern Federal District in the field of agriculture, which is among the priority projects of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. It was held with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Government of St. Petersburg and the Government of the Leningrad Region, under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Leningrad Region.

AFI took part in the Business Program of the exhibition and presented its latest developments at two stands organized by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg.

Our Institute held two round tables and one conference on the following topics:

- Modern potato growing technologies in Russia;
- Food quality and rational nutrition are the key to the health of the nation;
- Modern innovative technologies for processing raw materials into high-quality food products.
A small-sized phytotechnical complex with cabbage and salad crops of 13 varieties growing in it in orderly rows, presented at the stand of St. Petersburg, aroused great interest. The small—sized phytotechnical complex is a miniature demonstration of the plant growing system implemented in it, including a light medium with optimized light in spectral composition of intensity, uniformity of irradiation of plants, a root-inhabited environment with a system for providing root systems with nutrition according to the thin-layer panoponics method developed at the Institute.

Enterprises and representatives of the regions also showed high professional interest in the equipment developed at the Institute for the repair of reclamation systems, to a programmable remote sensing system that includes unmanned aerial vehicles of various designs, including those equipped with a high-resolution hyperspectral camera for the first time. and the original software, which made it possible to obtain clear images regardless of weather conditions and to conduct their objective analysis promptly. The use of this remote sensing system allows you to quickly assess the physiological state of crops, identify and map places with violations, identify the cause of their manifestation and compile a set of measures to optimize the process of growing plants, which ultimately provides a significant increase in agricultural productivity in the agro-industrial complex.

AFI also presented at the exhibition a unique joint development with LETI - a hardware and software complex based on a mobile X-ray diagnostic unit PRDU-02 for quality control of seeds and grain. Its widespread implementation will ensure the prevention of low-quality seed material from entering granaries, as well as into the production process in agricultural farms and will have a significant positive impact on the efficiency of agriculture in the Russian Federation.

In addition, various devices for monitoring weather conditions, humidity and soil temperature, developed using wireless sensor network technology (BSS), were demonstrated at the exhibition stand of the AFI FGBNU. The weather station developed at the AFI Federal State Budgetary Institution aroused genuine interest among suppliers of equipment for agriculture due to the need for import substitution in modern realities.
