The Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) has approved a list of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate and Doctor of Sciences should be published. The new list includes, in particular, 2,593 Russian scientific publications, as well as publications from the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI; compiled by the Russian Academy of Sciences, unites about 900 domestic journals) and international databases. The list was divided into three categories and new requirements for applicants for academic degrees were approved on its basis. The division of the HAC journal registry into three categories is based on the relevance (citation index) of the journal by the scientific community. Thus, the commission assigned 662 magazines to the highest category (K1), almost 1.3 thousand publications to K2, the remaining ones were awarded the third category. The journal "Agrophysics", in accordance with the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation, is assigned to the First category of journals.
