On August 8-9, 2025, the Agrophysical Research Institute took part in the business program of the 12th Russian Open Plowing Championship.
This year, a field near the towns of Bugry and Murino in the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region, within walking distance from the metro station, was chosen as the venue for the Championship.

Following the map, the students visited the expositions of the districts of the region and two leading agricultural universities in St. Petersburg - SPbSAU and SPbGUVM, performing various tasks that introduced them to agriculture and professional educational institutions of agricultural profile. At the end, those who successfully completed the quest received a gift from the Agribusiness Committee.

The exposition of the Agrophysical Institute was devoted to the issues of restoring the operability of closed reclamation systems. The interest of specialists was aroused by the "Field Reclamation Guide" issued by the Agrophysical Institute. By the way, the field where the Championship was held was drained by a closed drain.
Specialists of the Leningrad branch of the Federal State Budgetary Budgetary Institution Rosagrokhimservice made and equipped a soil section in the field at the exhibition, which attracted the active attention of the event's visitors.
The winner of the
Ploughing Championship was a machine operator from the Leningrad region Alexander Deryugin. This is his third victory at the All-Russian plowing competitions.
