International Scientific and Practical Conference

From July 21 to July 25, 2025, an international scientific and practical conference was held - the X Siberian Pryanishnikov Agrochemical Readings "THE SCIENTIFIC LEGACY OF D.N. PRYANISHNIKOV AND THE PROSPECTS FOR RESEARCH ON AGROCHEMISTRY, SOIL FERTILITY AND AGRICULTURE IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBAL CHALLENGES."



     The main organizers of the major International scientific Conference were the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences represented by the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center and other institutions of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the V.R. Filippov Buryat State Agricultural Academy. The total number of participants included more than 100 specialists, including 6 academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 7 corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 28 heads of scientific and educational organizations, 56 doctors and 26 candidates of sciences from various regions of Russia, as well as scientists from Belarus, China and Mongolia. N.P. Buchkina and A.I. Ivanov, employees of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Russian Academy of Sciences, took part in it personally, J.A. Ivanova, Yu.V. Khomyakov, E.V. Balashov, K.G. Moiseev, A.V. Dobrokhotov, P.A. Filippov, L.V. Boitsova, L.V. Kozyreva, D.P. Mukhina, D.M. Kostetsky, A.V. Burova, N.V. Smirnova.

     The conference was held sequentially in three locations in Buryatia: a rally at the house and monument to D.N. Pryanishnikov and a plenary session at the Kyakhta Museum of Local Lore. V.A. Obruchev's academies were held in the small homeland of D.N. Pryanishnikov in the city of Kyakhta, a plenary session in the Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V.R. Filippov in Ulan–Ude and breakout sessions on Lake Baikal. A wide range of pressing issues of effective management of soil fertility, yield and quality of marketable products, improvement of agricultural culture by reclamation, agrochemical and other agrotechnological means were discussed at the event.

      During the conference, A.I. Ivanov spoke at a rally at the monument to Academician D.N. Pryanishnikov, where he emphasized his special role in ridding the peoples of the Soviet Union of hunger. At the plenary session at the Kyakhta Museum of Local Lore. Academician A.V. Obrucheva during the presentation "The implementation of D.N. Pryanishnikov's ideas in the development of modern adaptive agriculture in the Non-Chernozem zone of Russia", the participants' attention was focused on the acutely relevant and current issues of the development and cultivation of soils in the Non-Chernozem region, the development of the theory and practice of crop rotations and precise fertilizer application systems. A report "Urgent problems of bio-enrichment of agricultural products with iodine in the conditions of the St. Petersburg agglomeration" was presented at a breakout session at the Buryat Agricultural Academy on the shore of Lake Baikal. This research work was carried out on the basis of the AFI Federal State Budgetary Budgetary Institution with the financial support of the Russian Science Foundation and the St. Petersburg Science Foundation under grant No. 24-16-20021 "Bio-enrichment of agricultural products with iodine in the conditions of the St. Petersburg agglomeration".

     The informal part of the conference included an extensive cultural program: visits to local history and ethnographic museums, Ivolginsky datsan "Gandan Gege Dashi Choinkhorlin", Barguzinsky Nature Reserve, Olkhon Island, etc.
