  • Discovery and investigation of bacteria – producers of lytic cellulose monooxygenases
  • Investigation of bacteria with plant – protection & stimulation properties
  • Microbiology of humic acids transformation in various types of soil
• Microbiology of degradation of oil & individual hydrocarbons by:
  • aerobic mesophilic and thermophilic bacteria;
  • anaerobic (methanogenic, sulfate – and nitrate – reducing) microorganisms & their communities
• Microbioloigy of ectrical current generation
• Influence of modern climate changes on distribution and activity of bacteria in the surface layer of natural & anthropogenic soils

Biotechnology

• Development and improvement of plant residues and exhausted soil substrates bioconversion and fermentation methods for technology of intensive light plant cultivation
• Plant growth and productivity biopreparations based on bacterial exometabolites and recommendations for usage.
• Working out of plant-microbial and microbiological fuel cells for the production of electric current using modified electrodes, various organic compounds as electron donors and microorganisms with high electogenic activity
